Locals told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the building for the sub health centre in Chandeji area was constructed five years ago but is yet to be made functional. Locals said that they visit District Hospital Bandipora for even minor ailments for which they should have visited the health centre in the vicinity. "We brought this issue into the notice of the concerned authorities to no avail," said a local Muneer Khan. Also, the owner of land on which the health centre came up is yet to receive the compensation for the land. Ishfaq Ahmad, a local, said that land owner and health authorities have some dispute that's why this building is not being made functional yet and hence affecting people. Locals appealed Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to look into the matter so that the health centre starts functioning in the area.
